What is chronobiology?

Chronobiology is a field of science that examines the biological rhythms.

The body does not function in the same way throughout the day: cellular activity in each of our organs varies in quality and quantity depending on the day or the alternation of day and night.
The cells are thought to have a tendency to favour regeneration and repair activities at night, and defence functions by day.

Finding out more about the variations in such activity – or “biorhythm” – can help us to optimize the use of cosmetics depending on the time of day.
